BLOGS

  1. VBVW. Two guys' fantastically accurate opinions of the very best and very worst of everything.
  2. Forksplit. It takes talent to make a story about unexpected vaginal discharge sound like an Ernest Hemingway novel.
  3. Advertising/Design Goodness. Too lazy to look at the world around you? Let this guy do the legwork for you.
  4. McSweeneys.net. I can't believe I forgot about this site... the latest classic is the Cookie Monster entry.
  5. Google Webmaster Blog. Oh, so that's how the most successful company in the world works.
  6. Lunar Adventures. Don't be alarmed... they're not real adventures.
  7. Bright Meadow. Everyone's favorite Brit weaves penguin-laced witicisms.
  8. Avalonstar. It was Bryan's beautiful blog that made me think, "damn, I want a blog". And here I am.

MUSIC

  1. Mogwai. Further proof that everything from Scotland is good on its own, and awesome if you're drunk.
  2. Repercussion. Awesome Flash site that creates electronic instruments for you to customize.
  3. Caveman. Life-changing instrumental jam band, or just a bunch of sarcastic hippies? The jury is still out.
  4. Temporary Residence. Home to some great instrumental bands, like the hard-hitting By The End of Tonight.
  5. ModernThings. Collective of starving musicians who do it for the love, namely Sudara and Ben Montgomery.
  6. Tool. Well-funded, math-driven rage. It's harder than it sounds, and it sounds impossible. New album out now.

ART

  1. Luke Chueh. Hilariously depressing paintings and other media. I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for personification.
  2. Peter Woytuk. Beautiful larger-than-life sculptures. Site design by comrade Ben Montgomery.
  3. Gaping Void. If you're from anywhere but NYC, you probably find this shit insightful.
  4. Threadless. Dry wit: the butter to t-shirt's bread. Go buy yourself a couple of these.
  5. McCarty Photoworks. Capturing action figures and Barbie dolls on their days off.
